Poms at state competition

The Bartlesville Varsity Pom Squad placed second with their hip-hop routine the first weekend in January 2019 in the 6A division at the Oklahoma State Dance Team Directors' Association competition in Oklahoma City. The Junior Varsity squad took third in the Pom and Jazz division. The middle school squad placed second in the Pom division.

 

Junior Gloria Castillo, junior, placed second in the senior solo division. Senior Cassie Harding and Gloria Castillo won the State Title with their duet in the small senior ensemble division. Sophomore Savannah Kuehn and freshman Livia Hartman placed second in the small intermediate ensemble division. Kat Clary, Mika Gillman, Kelsi Graves, and Cassie Harding were named to the All-State Dance Team. Jadyn Keeler was named to the All-Region Dance team.

 

Varsity pom coach Stephanie Stewart is in her ninth year of coaching the Bartlesville Varsity Pom squad and has won six state titles. Junior Varsity pom coach Lauren Haskell is in her sixth year of coaching the Bartlesville JV pom squad and has won five state titles. Abbie Smith is the middle school pom coach. 

 

Bartlesville Pom will compete in January at the Dance for a Cure competition in Jenks and at the Lee Summit North Regional Competition in Kansas City, Missouri.  In February, they will be heading to Orlando, Florida where they will compete for a national title.
