Mid-November will bring two performances of two one-act plays by the high school theatre program: Antigone by Sophocles and We Are Antigoneby Tammy Ryan. These will be held in the program’s cozy Black Box Theatre in the BHS Fine Arts Center, so seating will be limited to 50 seats per night.
  • Thursday, Nov. 15, 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance from cast members, BHS acting students, or Ms. Jessica Allis.

The Black Box Theatre in room A-001 will open at 6:30 p.m. Each one-act play will last 45 minutes, with a 15-minute intermission between them.

Park in the lot south of 18th Street between Hillcrest Drive and Shawnee Avenue. Use the main south entrance to the Fine Arts Center; the Black Box Theatre is down the corridor to your immediate left as you enter.

In We Are Antigone, six very different girls walk into a classroom with a simple task: to put Antigone on trial. As they work to condemn or vindicate Sophocles' classic heroine, they find surprising intersections between the text and their own lives.
