Come see Newsies May 3-5 at BHS FAC

Disney comes to Bartlesville once again in May with the Bartlesville High School production of Disney’s Newsies-The Broadway MusicalNewsies will open on Friday, May 3 at 7 p.m. with additional performances on Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m. All performances will be in the auditorium at the Bartlesville High School Fine Arts Center at 18th Street and Hillcrest Drive.

The show only runs 1 weekend, so don't miss it. More than 60 very talented high school students are in the cast. Auditions took place in early March and rehearsals started immediately. 

Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of HorrorsSister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner
Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots). Featuring the songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience.

The Bartlesville area is blessed with talented students who amaze audiences with their ability to create a large-scale, professional quality Broadway production. 

Headliners:
  • Lane Cabler will perform as Jack Kelly
  • Kylie Bostwick will play Jack’s best friend, Crutchie
  • Nathaniel Vilardo will play the pompous businessman Joseph Pulitzer 
  • Olivia Park will bring the ambitious reporter, Katherine Plumber, to life
  • Olivia Wilt plays Medda Larkin, a big-voiced saloon singer who is the star of the Bowery and a friend to the Newsies
Rounding out the cast are many Newsies, Medda’s theatre performers and staff along with Pulitzer’s cronies, staff, and paper pushers. There are also nuns and workers who support the Newsies cause along with local city officials and business owners who either support the Newsies or Joseph Pulitzer.

Online Tickets

We now have capabilities to sell our tickets to NEWSIES online!!


If you have a Charms account (through BHS Choir), you will log in using those credentials.  If you don’t, then you will log in as a guest. You select your tickets (Student or Adult) then check out.  When you checkout, choose PayPal as the payment option. You can then chose to log in to your existing PayPal account and pay that way or it gives an option to pay with debit/credit card.
