Students in the BHS Business program took members of their Stock Market Club to compete in a Junior Achievement-sponsored event called the JA Investor Challenge. Students traveled with their teachers Justin Olinghouse and Jerry Gray to Tulsa Tech where the competition was held on a giant trading floor. The event consists of a simulated stock market where each team starts with $500,000 and has to out-invest 39 other teams over a simulated 60 days of stock market action. They are given news reports and other tips throughout the event to help determine which stocks to buy and sell, and when to do so. BHS had two teams that competed and both teams placed in the top 15.
