Boys Cross Country team wins second consecutive state championship

The Bruin defending state champion cross country teams ran in Edmond on Saturday. The boys team won its second consecutive Class 6A State Championship, while the girls were State Runner-up after a three-year streak of consecutive state championships.

For the boys, Nathan Lauritsen placed second, James Martinez placed third, and Reese Hammon placed twelfth. For the Lady Bruins, Rilee Rigdon won the individual state champion title and Greta Olsen placed fourteenth.

Congratulations to the teams for their outstanding performance. This is the Bruin cross country program's fifth state championship in four years under the leadership of head coach David Ayres and assistant coach Bon Bennett.
