BHS Students Hold Community Can Food Drive

Every year, students at Bartlesville High School gather can food items to help stock the pantry at the local Salvation Army. These food items help to feed many families and people in need during the holiday season. The goal this year is to donate 2000 cans of food.

This year students in their 5th hour classes are competing to see which class can collect the most cans. The class with the most cans will be treated to a pizza party. The teachers of the top three winning classes will receive a gift card to a local restaurant.

Student chairs, Mia Ferguson and Tiffany Strachen are working with sponsor, Darla Tresner, to encourage students to help out their community. Last year students were able to donate almost 900 cans to the Salvation Army.

All donations are due no later than November 11, 2019.
