BHS art students win awards at Indian Summer Youth Art Show

Students from BHS and several other schools entered artwork in the Indian Summer Youth Art Show and Contest at the Oklahoma Indian Summer Festival in Dewey on October 4-5, 2019. Over 200 pieces of student artwork were displayed. At the event, two students in each category received Art Excellence Awards with a ribbon and $20. Four BHS art students won awards, two of them in three categories.  Their artwork is on display in the art display cases in the foyer of the Fine Arts Center at BHS. 


The Heritage Theater hosted a juried art market for Native and Western artists and Youth Art Show for grades K-12 for which all Green Country students were eligible. The overall event included a children's program, powwows on two nights, a youth powwow, vendors, and concessions.
