After Prom & Project Graduation donations needed

Dear BHS Parent/Guardian:

Please encourage your student to attend After Prom and Project Graduation. Each year, too many high school students are tragically killed in alcohol/drug related accidents. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 1/3 of all alcohol related traffic fatalities of teens occur during the weekends of prom and graduation. The purpose of After Prom and Project Graduation is to prevent any accidents by offering fun, safe and drug and alcohol free alternatives. We are asking for your financial generosity to keep our children safe.

The After Prom party will be held on Saturday, April 28. This year we are excited to announce that the students will be attending a game show themed event. The festivities will begin after Prom and will provide a fun venue where Juniors and Seniors can enjoy a money machine, a variety of game show type games and other fun activities. A breakfast, coffee and smoothie bar and great prizes will encourage students to stay through the night.

Project Graduation will be held on Friday, May 25 at Washington Park Mall. It follows graduation and allows Seniors an opportunity to enjoy activities such as glow in the dark bingo, inflatables, a money booth, casino games, dancing and food. Seniors will also receive prizes and cash give aways during the event all while in a safe environment. There is no charge to them for this event.

Your continued financial support is greatly appreciated and is the key to the success of both of these events. Each year over 350 students attend After Prom with an average of $60 spent on each. About 70% of the Seniors attend Project Graduation with an average of $73 spent on each student. Monetary contributions will be used to offset the costs of the celebrations: location rental, prizes, food, security and entertainment.

Please contribute money and/or gifts of time. Each donated dollar is very important! Attached are the sponsorship levels and wish list of items requested. Make your contribution to BHS-PSG and send to the address below. Please also take time to match your gift through your company if applicable. You will receive a donor tax receipt and sponsorship "thank you" letter.
