In addition to the troop filing local/national tour permits, documented parent/guardian permission is required for all activities outside troop meetings.
The troop permission form lists activity, departure and return time,
and registered Scouter in charge of the event. Parents/guardians are
requested to provide any limitations or restrictions plus applicable
medical information. The troop will also keep on file a yearly permission slip and health forms for each scout. At least a Class 1 health form is required to attend overnight activities. A Class 3 form is required for activities lasting longer than 72 hours. Additional health forms may be needed for activities such as summer camps.
Permission forms and outing fees should be completed and returned at the troop meeting 2 weeks prior to the event unless an earlier payment date is required.
The Troop is required to submit local tour permits to council 1 week
before the event for any activity within 500 miles. For trips over 500
miles, a National Tour permit must be submitted no later than 30 Days
