Welcome to the new BPS Teacher Educator Supports Program!

The Educator Supports Progam includes two options, Peer Assistance or Peer Assistance and Review, as options for Boston Public School Teachers to receive support. The Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) program is designed to support and evaluate Boston Public Schools teachers who are not currently rated at Proficient status in the educator evaluation process. The Peer Assistance program (PA) offers non- evaluatory support to teachers who have received a Needs Improvement rating. Eligible participating teachers in either program will be assigned a Consulting Teacher who will visit their classroom on a regular basis to serve as their PA coach or PAR coach and primary evaluator. Both PAR and PA Educator Support options are collaborative partnerships between the Boston Public Schools and the Boston Teachers Union. Check out the Enroll page to determine your eligibility for PAR or PA.

The mission of the Educator Supports Program is to strengthen student learning and teacher performance with coaching and evaluation that feels fair, transparent, and humane to all stakeholders.
