Many thanks to Hearts of Space producers Stephen Hill and Steve Davis for playing "Mirage" and "The Lost City" from the Kuutana Serenity Album on PGM 910 : "CLOUD OF PROMISE 2" (first aired Friday May 7, 2010). The Hearts of Space radio program first started in 1973 and was instrumental in introducing our new genre of music to over 200 public radio stations in the United States and worldwide through satellite radio and now, the internet (see http:/hos.com ) where you can listen to Program #910 "Cloud of Promise 2" - Tracks "Mirage" and "Lost City" from the Kuutana Serenity album were featured.

Here is the intro to the program:

INTRO : Ambient music can evoke subtle feelings, take us on journeys, and create soundscapes in our imagination — sometimes all three at once. Take this introduction: start with the sound of distant gulls and soft bells, add floating voices, electronic ornaments, resonant harmonics, and a slow pulse. As we follow the sound, we find ourselves in another world.

That's the thing: today's electronic music delivers more information than before. In addition to the classic trio of melody, harmony and rhythm, we now have the dimension of space or ambience. And in our diverse, electronically connected world, we can merge sounds, styles and instruments from other cultures into our music — a gesture that says "respect"...without words.

This week on Hearts of Space, more high information electronica for the season, on a program called CLOUD OF PROMISE 2.
