Boise State Project SHINE

Project SHINE (Students Helping in the Naturalization of Elders) is a national service-learning initiative in which university students assist elder refugees and immigrants in their efforts to obtain citizenship.

Boise State University is pleased to take part in this initiative, through a partnership with the Idaho Office for Refugees and the English Language Center in Boise, Idaho.

This website is a resource for Project SHINE volunteers, as well as other professionals who work with elder refugees in the U.S.  Feel free to explore our sidebar links to learn more about citizenship, elder language learners, emerging literacy, and the integration of health curricula in English language classes.
