2017 Be the Change Summit

The 2017 Boise High School Be The Change Summit The Summit is an event that will provide students and the Boise High community with an enriching opportunity for students to gain a greater understanding of a variety of topics related to being and making change in the community and to experience the feel of a professional conference. A feature of our Summit is our keynote speaker, Asmaa Albukaie, who is Idaho’s first Syrian Refugee and now works as a refugee advocate in Boise. Along with the keynote address, students will partake in a Student involvement Center consisting of activity stations for students, including maker- stations, projects on our Downtown Teaching Farm and the Micron STEM Bus. Finally, the highlight of the day is undoubtedly our student presentations, featuring upwards of 60 presentations on topics thematically related to being the change. Our students-teaching-students model highlights our impassioned, informed students, and continues a culture of engaged activism and project based learning at Boise High.
