Hello Viking Families,
We are very excited to start the 2026-27 school year and meet all our new Vikings. Our school counseling team is here to help students plan their education as well as help them navigate the day-to-day challenges of Junior High. We will work with students in creating a positive school climate and building a solid foundation for academic success.
Please take the time to look through this guide and use this site as a reference point moving forward. As always let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Christian Lim, 7th grade counselor
Ryan Gant, 8th grade counselor
Mariah Ruth, 9th grade counselor
Infinite Campus is our student portal and you can go there to access your schedule and grades.
Use the following as your login to Infinite Campus.
Infinite Campus Login: school email includes your 2-digit gradyear.firstname.lastname@boiseschools.net
For example: a 7th grade student's email, with name: Molly Jones: would be 30molly.jones@boiseschools.net
An 8th grader's grade year would be 29, and a 9th grader would be 28
Password: your initials of your first and last name, as well as your 6 digit birthdate.
For example: John Rhodes, with DOB: 06/21/2007 would be a password of JR062107.
Parents: Call our front office to set up your parent account (208-854-5740). Check Infinite Campus regularly to keep track of your child's academic standing.
A good reminder for students and parents is to consistently check your email. Our school and our staff send a lot of our communication through emails and it's a good way to stay up to date on what's happening at North.
All of our teachers will have a Google Classroom setup and students can access it using their Gmail account.
Please make sure to check Infinite Campus for your most up to date schedule.
If you see a mistake in your schedule please email your counselor immediately so we can make the appropriate adjustments.
We do our best to match your schedule base on your course requests but we do sometimes have to give you your alternate classes. Changing classes after school starts may not be an option due to many of our classes being full.
We do not take teacher, or team change requests, and also moving classes to a different period is often not possible due to the class sizes.
Breakfast is served before school and at break.
7th and 8th grade students will eat lunch together after 4th period. There's usually increased variety and options compare to elementary schools.
You are welcome to go to the cafeteria and bring your own packed lunch.
Easiest way to pay for lunch is through My SchoolBucks, please set this up right before school starts.
For more information on our meal services and payment options please visit our Food and Nutrition Services Site. If you need help paying for lunch, you visit our page to see if your child qualify for free and reduced meals.
Students will receive a school ID from the main office on their first day of school. Make sure you stop by the main office to have your picture taken.
All students will receive a District Chromebook that they are expected to bring to school everyday. You might not be able to access specific classroom materials if you use your own device.
Please let our staff know if your school device is damaged, not working properly, missing a charger or if you lost it entirely.
Please remember to renew the theft/damage protection on your device every year in IC. You can purchase damage protection in our North JH Store.
Our school counseling department is offering a variety of groups this year. Please let me know if you think your child will benefit from joining one of our groups by filling out this form.
Signing up does not guarantee a spot in the group, it also does not mean that they are committed to joining the group. Some of our groups will have limited capacity and we will prioritize base on student needs.
We have a lot of opportunities for students of all abilities/skill level to get involve in sports. The best way to stay up to date with Sport related news is to check the Viking Athletics page.
Available Clubs:
Green Club, Skate Club, Garden Club, Chess Club, Science Olympiad, Snowriders, and many more
Any student can start a club and it's very easy to do!! Talk to your counselor for more details.
Johnny Luangaphay – School Nurse
Physical forms must be filled out AFTER May 1, 2024

Attendance:
Students must have a Permit to Leave in order to leave the school grounds during the school day. This includes needing a PTL for medical, and other appointments. A Permit to Leave is issued in the main office – with receipt of a note from parents/guardians. Parents/guardians may call the attendance office to obtain a Permit to Leave rather than send a note (854-5740).
HOW TO REPORT AN ABSENCE:
North parents may telephone the Attendance Line at 854-5746 at any time (24 hours a day, seven days a week) and leave a voicemail to report student absences.
Please refer to our Student Handbook for a comprehensive list of School Policies and Procedures.
You can purchase Yearbooks, Dance Pass, Activity Cards (for sports), cool Viking Gear and many other things through our online store. You can follow this link to visit our online store.
