*** This Spring Registration information is for current 6th gradres in the Boise School District. New enrollments will need to go through the Boise School District Online Enrollment portal.
Here are the basic steps for our incoming 6th graders to complete your course registration for North Junior High.
Our elementary school counselors will be guiding students through every step of this process in class. So if you're looking at this on your own and you get confused, that's okay. While this page serves as a general reference, students will receive comprehensive detailed instructions during scheduled classroom lessons. Please direct your questions to your child's elementary counselor, at this point they know your child's academic needs more than I do.
Students, you will be doing STEP 5 with your future North JH Counselor so you don't have to worry about that for now.
Students will need to login to my Google Classroom to access your Course Planning Guide
Navigate to Mr. Lim's Google Classroom. .
If you have not added My Google classroom. Please do the following:
Navigate to www.classroom.google.com
Click the plus " + " icon next to the waffle bar on the top right corner.
Add the class code: 4722ckmg

**This needs to happen BEFORE the registration day at your school.
If you register for any the following classes you will need to fill out the required form to complete your registration for the class:
*Please Note that these forms are used to gauge student interest and readiness and does not mean you will be enrolled in the course. You will have to have Alternate courses filled out as well.
Steps for today:
Counselor will review the registration process and answer questions.
Students will log in to Infinite Campus.
Go to "26-27 Registration" to view your class selections for 7th grade.
You will see your core classes which North preloaded for you. Using North - 7th Grade Course Planning Guide you filled out on Step 3, select 2 elective (classes) and at least 2 alternate classes.
Have a counselor check your schedule before logging off.
Once you formally request your classes through the Infinite Campus Link above we will email you and your parents/guardians course requests to confirm your classes. Please review the requests with your parents/guardians and communicate any changes you would like to make for your schedule next year.
If you are choosing a class that requires the completion of a form (See step 4 above) Please have class form submitted no later than Feb 28th.
After you register, your counselor will give you a copy of your finalized class choices. In August, you will receive your finalized schedule, which will list your order of classes, names of teachers, etc.
You can also check out our 7th Grade Orientation page which contains helpful information regarding your transition to North JH.
You will have a chance to visit our school later this year. We will keep you posted on the time and date.
Summer School
You can take a class during summer to open up space in your 7th grade schedule for another elective. Most students are able to follow their desired academic path without taking summer courses. Ask your current school counselor if this is a good fit for you. BSD summer information will be available here in the spring.
IDLA
Idaho Digital Learning Academy offers virtual classes throughout the year including during summer. This is alternative summer school option if Boise School District's summer program doesn't work for you.
Advanced Math track
Your math placement will be determined by your current math teacher. Please consult with them and make sure you know which math track you're in.
