Our summer program starts on Monday, June 4, 2018 and runs through Friday, August 17, 2018. This provides care for families from the first day school is out until school resumes again in the fall.

The staff at each location plan their own curriculum for the summer but the basic program is the same. Weekly themes include activities covering art, science, math, physical education, music, literature and social development.
Most of the curriculum activities are learn by doing and hands on activities rather than sit at a desk and study activities. Our reading incentive programs encourage children to keep up with their reading and study skills through the summer also. A variety of indoor and outdoor activities are planned each day.

Each location will go to a local swimming pool once each week for open swimming and will go to another location in our community once a week for either a theme related field trip or just a trip to play and socialize. There are not trips planned the first week of the summer program, the last week of the summer program or the week of July 4th. We also have a variety of guest come to the site to share their programs and skills with the children.

Breakfast and an afternoon snack are served daily. Children will need to bring a sack lunch at most sites. Some of the elementary schools provide breakfast and lunch during part of the summer. We take our children to the school cafeterias to participate in these programs where available.

Parent events are planned to encourage families to come together for activities and refreshments. This gives parents the opportunity to get to the know the staff better and also to meet their children's friends and their families.
