Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band at Capital begins when during second quarter when students complete the competitive marching band season. This ensemble performs a wide variety of classical music through the year that challenges students to grow musically. In recent years the ensemble has performed 'Night on Fire' by John Mackey, 'Chester' by William Schuman, 'First Suite in Eb' by Gustav Holst, and more. 

The Capital High Symphonic Band performs 3-5 concerts at the high school for the public to enjoy. They also perform at clinics and festival in the Treasure Valley and in the Northwest. This coming year the Symphonic Band will be touring to Nevada and California to receive clinics, visit universities, and see the San Francisco Symphony.
