1. The Golden Woofs is an international bear short film competition being conducted by Bear Men of Adelaide Inc. Bear Men of Adelaide is an incorporated non-profit community organisation based in Adelaide, Australia.

2. Films are eligible if they are about bears and/or feature bears and/or are made by bears. The term bear is used in an inclusive way and includes bears, cubs, chubs, chasers, admirers and friends.

3. Films must be less than 20 minutes in duration. There is no minimum duration.

4. Films may be of any genre including but not limited to drama, comedy, documentary, animation, music video, erotica and experimental.

5. Films must be submitted as a high resolution video file shared via a file sharing site such as dropbox.com or similar. Files should be shared with the email address goldenwoofs@bmofa.org.au. Contact goldenwoofs@bmofa.org.au for more information.

6. All films must be accompanied by a completed online entry form. The entry form is available at the Golden Woofs web site at goldenwoofs.bmofa.org.au.

7. Once submitted, entries may not be withdrawn.

8. Entries must be received on or before Friday 4 November 2016. Entries received after this date are not guaranteed inclusion in the competition.

9. Do not send letter-boxed or pillar-boxed entries. It looks bad on the big screen and we do not have the resources to remove any letter or pillar boxing.

10. Multiple entries from individual film makers are encouraged. A separate entry form must be submitted for each film.

11. Films that were selected as finalists in previous Golden Woofs competitions are not eligible for entry.

12. Films entered in previous Golden Woofs competitions that were not selected as finalists are eligible to re-enter.

13. Finalists will be selected by the Golden Woofs Coordinator. The decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Golden Woofs Coordinator is not eligible to enter the competition.

14. A winning entry will be selected from the finalists by an independent jury of at least 3 people appointed by the Golden Woofs Coordinator. At least one member of the jury will be a film industry professional. At least one member of the jury will be a representative of an Australian bear club other than Bear Men of Adelaide. Members of the jury are not eligible to enter the competition.

15. The jury’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered in to.

16. People submitting entries grant Bear Men of Adelaide Inc. the legal right to publicly screen the entry in Adelaide, Australia on 26 November 2016 and to use still images from the film for publicity purposes.

17. People submitting entries must hold ownership of all intellectual property embodied in the entry, or have the permission of the owner(s). Do not use copyrighted sound or images unless you have permission from the copyright owner.

18. Finalists will be screened at a gala event in Adelaide, Australia, on Saturday 26 November 2016. At the end of the screening the winner will be announced.

19. The winner will be awarded 500 Australian Dollars.

20. If the winner is not present at the screening in Adelaide for the announcement of their win, a representative of Bear Men of Adelaide will contact them to arrange payment of the prize money.

21. By submitting the entry form and video file, entrants are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
