are very interesting.  They are very complicated.  

    Giraffes neck alone is 6 ft. tall and weighs 600 pounds.  The legs are also 6 ft. tall.  Females grow up to 14 ft. tall in total.  While males can grow up to 18 ft.  

Now I will share some interesting facts.  Giraffes can run up to 35 miles per hour for a very short time.  Also, they only to need drink every few days.  Giraffes spend most of there life standing up.  They even sleep and give birth standing up.  Giraffes have little horns called ossicones.

Giraffes are endangered.  They are hunted for many reasons.   One is for their meat.  Another is hides and tails.  They are valued by African Americans.  Loss of habitat is another reason for their scarcity.

The situation for giraffes is getting better because more organizations are helping giraffes.
