ACCESS WALLANDER TRIP 07: 22/06-04/07/2017

NOTES
This was our longest trip to Sweden to date, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. I managed to visit many of the locations I had listed beforehand. I wanted to visit ones I hadn't got to before, and was surprised to find that there were a lot of locations from the early seasons that I had identified but not got around to visiting. This trip mostly sorted that out!

ACCOMMODATION
#1: Little Ängagården (2 nights): 'The courtyard between the sea and the meadows', and a great place to be at Midsommar if you want to chill.

#2: Large cozy apartment in central Ystad (7 nights, via Airbnb.co.uk): This apartment is literally 10 mins walk from the centre of Ystad. It is enormous - much bigger than the listing suggests - with all the domestic appliances you could need.

#3: Hotell Mossbylund (3 nights): Our second stay here provided us with a fitting end to our trip. Now bigger and better than when we visited in 2013, we enjoyed the benefits of its spa, giving us some final relaxation time before our return to the UK.

OTHER PLACES
Undoubtedly my last visit to Cineteket in its present form and name. There are big changes ahead, and, from what I've seen so far, they are for the good.

Although Wallander has 'left the building' they're still producing quality film and TV here. Ystad and its surroundings are still so evocative and picturesque, which makes them so worthy of a visit in their own right.

Many thanks to Jack Löfving and Petra Rundqvist for making me so welcome on today's visit.
