MAJOR KEY or MINOR KEY? Can you hear the difference?
The song My Country 'tis of Thee (minor key), with lyrics from the Civil War, sung by Chase Holdfelder.
These lyrics, now rarely heard, were written by A.G. Duncan in 1843 about the ABOLITIONIST movement... who were the abolitionists? The abolitionists were the Americans AGAINST slavery, who later won the Civil War, eliminating slavery in our country.
Another interesting fact: The music for "My Country 'tis of Thee" was, and still is, the theme of the national anthem of the United Kingdom, (England; Great Britian), and is known there as "God Save the Queen" (or King), of course, with different lyrics.
1.) A family of superstars: The Kanneh-Mason family
