Good Afternoon Families!
We hope this email finds you well. This year is shaping up to be a very unique and challenging year for all of us; but, it is not without hope and opportunity. We are currently putting together the finishing touches on our distance learning plan.
Each individual 6th grade teacher will be putting out instructions on Google Classroom over the next week; please encourage your son/daughter to sign up for Google Classroom notifications so that he/she will be ready to start the online learning process on Tuesday, 4/14/2020 as laid out in the schedule sent out by Mr. Riley.
The 6th grade team has decided to host twice a week Zoom meetings with our classes so that we can keep in touch and continue building relationships with each other. The following weekly Zoom sessions will be set up beginning Tuesday, April 14:
Language Arts: Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-11
Math: Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-1:30
Science: Zoom or Prerecorded Videos Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11
Social Studies: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:30
For individual classes, each of us will go over expectations and explain the plan we have come up with that will give your child what he/she needs to be able to complete this year and go into next year with the necessary skill sets. We encourage you to have a conversation with your student about moving forward, and please stay in touch so we can work together to support our children and community through this uncharted territory. We are excited and confident to go on this adventure with your child.
We miss everyone and look forward to learning together in a different way!

KAHOOT EXAM REVIEW GAMES
I hope you were able to enjoy your summer. I want to take a minute to introduce myself and tell you a little about myself and my class. My name is Eric Wilson and I will be your child’s teacher this year for either Physical Educationor Computers 6. I currently live in Adrian with my wife Amanda, who is a Registered Nurse. We have two children Calan (who is seven and will be a 1st grader at Blissfield), Hannah (4), and our dog Griffey. I feel blessed to have this opportunity and I am extremely excited to be a part of Blissfield Schools and the community.
I was born and raised in Sand Creek and graduated in 1997. While in high school I played football, basketball and baseball. After high school I attended Olivet College before finishing my degree at Adrian College. My degree is K-12 Physical Education with a minor in Elementary Education. I played one year of baseball and two years of football at Olivet College. After getting my degree I spent time as a substitute teacher, special education aide, and coach. I was an aide in 1st grade, 2nd grade, 6th grade and in the high school at Sand Creek. While working at Sand Creek I coached football (Jr. High & JV), Basketball (JV), Baseball (JV & Varsity) and Bowling (Varsity).
I am really excited to be working at Blissfield teaching Physical Education/Health. I have a lot of things that I want to do this year. Most of all I want your children to have a great experience in physical education. I want each student to enjoy my class and they can’t do that if we never do anything they enjoy. I have plenty of activities in mind and some new ideas that I am planning on implementing. As for Computer class, we are working from www.21things4students.net this year. This is a self paced/driven class and the kids will be getting a wide variety of opportunities during this semester. It should be a great time for them to improve their computer skills and prepare them further for future endeavors.
I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know you all better.
