First Nine Weeks Awards and Holiday Lunch

Come celebrate our East Arcadia Panthers' accomplishments. An awards celebration and holiday lunch will be held on November 21, 2017. K-5 celebration will take place at 11:00 am. 6-8 celebration will take place at 11:45 am.

  October has been a busy month at East Arcadia. Students and staff  started the month by participating in Pink It Out Day in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. Mid month, Parent- Teacher conferences were held and then followed by Muffins with Moms and Donuts with Dads. The students ended the month by dressing up as their favorite storybook character and taking part in a Character Parade. 

Breakfast with Grandparents

East Arcadia was proud to host our grandparents for breakfast on Thursday, September 28th.  Grandparents and students enjoyed biscuits and fruit prepared by our staff.Strong roots make beautiful leaves was our theme for breakfast.  We look forward to hosting parents in the future at Muffins with Moms and Donuts with Dads.

Parent Survey for Title I Schools

Bladen County Schools operates 10 Title I schools: Bladen Lakes Primary School, Bladenboro Primary School, Bladenboro Middle School, Booker T. Washington Primary School, Dublin Primary School, East Arcadia Elementary School, Elizabethtown Primary School School, Elizabethtown Middle School, Plain View Primary School, and Tar Heel Middle School. As the parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school, you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the parent involvement program and activities in our schools. The following survey is confidential and will be used to assist us with planning for parental involvement activities for 2016-2017. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Summer Driver's Education Classes Open

Jordan Driving School of the Carolina's is pleased to welcome you to Driver Education!
Below you will find the basic information and requirements for registration.  

* Payment will only be accepted online. Please visit the high schools website for the 
                                                                             payment  portal. 

                                                  * Registration closes when classes are full.

        * Students must be 14 ½ years old on or before the first day of class to participate.

                                                           * Students must reside and attend school in the Bladen County School District.

                                      * Students are required to pay a $40 registration fee which is payable on line at the high schools                                                                                                                                              website:
                                                           East Bladen High School website (http://ebhs.bladen.k12.nc.us/)  and the
                                                                West Bladen High School website (http://wbhs.bladen.k12.nc.us/)

  • From the list of two scheduled classes, (upon registration) students must select a first and second choice.  If the first class is unavailable, registration will default to the second choice. 
  • Each class must have a minimum of 25 students and a maximum of 35.   If the minimum participation is not met, class may be postponed until it is filled.   The only exception to this is a Saturday Class which may have a maximum of 45 students.

East Arcadia takes top spot at the Battle of the Books

The East Arcadia middle school Battle of the Books team took first place at the Bladen County competition held at Bladen Community College on March 15, 2016. Pictured accepting the accolades are, left to right: Ms. Wanda Daniels, Sterling Thomas, Cody Long, Charles Dixon, Cheyanne Jacobs, Kayla Todd, Ashanti Munn-Goins, Charlene Mota-Huerta, Tamara Grissett, Cebree White, Ms. Celeste Lennon (coach), Ms. Demetrice Johnson-Jones (East Arcadia principal). Also pictured are Dr. Ophelia Munn-Goins and Mr. Jason Atkinson.

The East Arcadia team will represent our county at the regional competition, to be held on Thursday, April 7, in Sampson County.

Jacobs is top winner in public speaking

Congratulations to East Arcadia's 7th grader Cheyanne Jacobs for winning 1st place and 8th grader Chasity Terry for placing 3rd in the Bladen Soil and Water Con
servation District 2016 Public Speaking Contest "We All Live in a Watershed." Cheyanne advances to Area VII competition in Fayetteville on March 11.
