Welcome to Mrs. Semprebon's 4th Grade Website

I am thrilled to be teaching fourth grade at Bishop Marshall School. I grew up in the small town of East Hampton, CT and graduated from Mercy High School, an all-girls Catholic high school in Middletown, CT. I attended St. Michael’s College, in Colchester, VT graduating with a B.A. in education and theater. My Vermont teaching experience includes kindergarten in South Burlington and first grade at Charlotte Central School. My husband and I moved to Naples, FL in 2005 where I taught fourth grade at St. Elizabeth Seton School. While there I had the honor of being nominated for the “Golden Halo Award” representing my school among all parochial schools in the Venice, FL diocese. After my husband Shane and I moved back to Vermont I spent several years as a stay at home mom for our children Jack and Sienna, both now students at Bishop Marshall School. We live in Waterbury, VT and love being back in the Green Mountain State where I met my husband, where my mother was born and where my parents were married over 50 years ago.

My interests include hiking, traveling, dancing, theater, running road races with my family both here and in Connecticut, CrossFit and baking, although the last two might seem somewhat incongruent.

It is my hope that this will be a very successful year for your child. My goal is to help my students develop an appreciation for reading both for knowledge and pleasure, while increasing their comprehension and to advance their writing and math skills. I hope to introduce them to historical figures who have made societal contributions in the arts and sciences as well as those who have made sacrifices for this nation and beyond. Broadening a student’s knowledge of various disciplines and historical figures will help them appreciate the contributions others have made and urge them to recognize their own unique gifts, talents and their potential to be the best they can be, consistent with the values instilled in them by their parents and their school.

Parents are the primary educators of their children and I hope to contribute to that endeavor by providing the best possible experience for them here at Bishop Marshall School. I know you will provide encouragement and support at home toward that end. I am always available if you see ways for us to better work together and further our partnership in advancing your child.
