SECOND CALL FOR ABSTRACTS AND/OR PAPER SUBMISSION

Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST)

Palapye, Botswana, 19-22 November 2018


The Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) will host the annual SAMSA conference from 19th to 22nd November 2018 in Palapye, Botswana. The conference will be co-hosted by the University of Botswana (UB) and Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN). This conference will create, among other things, meaningful avenues for new and established researchers to learn, network and present provoking new ideas and problem solving techniques.


BIUST will also host in conjunction with the SAMSA 2018 conference the two following workshops:

1. The 2018 Masamu Advanced Study Institute (MASI) and workshop from from 16th-25th November 2018 . More information on the Masamu program can be found here.

2. A two -day workshop for African Women in Mathematics (22nd-23rd November 2018) to be organized by the African Mathematical Union Commission for African Women in mathematics in collaboration with SAMSA( information for this workshop will be announced in due course).



Important dates and deadlines

  • March 1, 2018: Pre-registration and abstract submission open.
  • September 30, 2018: Deadline for submission of abstracts.
  • October 31, 2018: Deadline for submission of full papers for publication.  
  •  November 19-22, 2018: Welcome to the SAMSA2018.      

Venue :Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), Palapye, Botswana. Palapye is a town in Botswana, situated about halfway between Francistown and Gaborone (270 km away from Gaborone and 160 km away from Francistown). Over the years its position has made it a convenient stopover on one of Southern African principal north-south rail and road routes.
