Paralyzed Veterans of America Scholarship Program
Description: This program was originally devised to provide some financial reprieve for Paralyzed Veterans members and their families so that they may achieve their goals in the academic arena. The result of this competitive process is a monetary scholarship to assist them in reaching their post-secondary educational goals. Applicant must be either a Paralyzed Veterans member, the spouse of a Paralyzed Veterans member, or an unmarried child (under 24 years of age) who is dependent (as defined by the IRS) on the member for principal support. Veterans United Foundation Scholarship
Description: Veterans United Foundation has established the Veterans United Scholarship Program. This program aims to assist military service members and their families by awarding five bi-annual scholarships to help pay for tuition and books. Potential applicants must be pursing a post-secondary degree at an accredited college or university and have a connection to the military by being one of the following: Active-duty service member; Veteran; Spouse of military member or veteran; Surviving spouse of a fallen soldier; Child of a military member or veteran. F. Edward Hebert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship
Description: The U.S. Army health care team will pay 100 percent of your tuition for a graduate-level health care degree for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychology or optometry program in the United States or Puerto Rico. Your active duty service obligation to the U.S. Army is one year of service for every year you receive the scholarship. Your minimum obligation depends on your health care field. For example, the minimum obligation for medical students is two years. Dental, psychology, optometry and veterinary students are obligated to serve no fewer than three years. Air Force Aid Society Henry H. Arnold Education Grant
Description: Since its inception in 1942, the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) has been committed to helping Air Force members and their families realize their academic goals. In recent years, the Society's emphasis has been on direct funding of new initiatives that provide greater value to Air Force families. The centerpiece of the Society's education initiatives is the General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program which provides $2000 grants to selected sons and daughters of active duty, Title 10 AGR/Reserve, Title 32 AGR performing full-time active duty, retired, retired reserve and deceased Air Force members; spouses (stateside) of active duty members and Title 10 AGR/Reservists; and surviving spouses of deceased personnel for their undergraduate studies.
