Description:        The TELACU Education Foundation awards scholarships to 1st-Generation College students who are permanent residents of an under served community within the Greater LA & San Bernadino Counties. Priority is given to applicants majoring in STEM and Business fields. GPA: 2.5 minimum. Biola has a partnership and matches some scholarship recipients. 

Deadline:           Feb. 28, 2014 (for new applicants)

HSF / Morgan Stanley Foundation Scholarship Program

Description:       The HSF/ Morgan Stanley Scholarship program provides scholarships to high performing Latino current rising junior and senior students on the path to higher education.  The program will award twenty (20) Latino Scholars with $3,200 for the 2014-2015 year.

Description:       U.S. college sophomores or juniors who are of Hispanic heritage and have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher.  Students must be military veterans or in an ROTC program and major in a STEM field.

Great Lakes STEM Scholarship

Description:       Students majoring in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) disciplines may be eligible to receive $2,500 scholarships under the Great Lakes National Scholarship Program. Up to 750 scholarships totaling $1.875 million will be awarded to new and continuing students who qualify.

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program

Description:       The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program wants to reward students who have succeeded both inside and outside of the classroom—and who may not be able to attend college without financial assistance. It's a reward for what you've made of yourself and the difference you are making for others. Applicants must be a high school senior or a current undergraduate student planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited U.S. four-year college or university for the 2014–15 academic year. Students should be majoring in a course of study that focuses on Engineering/Technology or select Design and Business-related programs of study and be interested in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries. Asian Pacific Community Fund / Verizon Scholarship Awards Programs

Description:       The Asian Pacific Community Fund partners with Verizon to financially assist students in their pursuit of higher education as they face the challenge of significantly rising costs of obtaining a college degree. Eligible students are residents of California, Oregon or Washington OR students attending college in one of those states; plan to enroll as a 2nd year college student in a U.S. accredited 4-year college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking student majoring in math, engineering, or a technical science in the Fall of 2014.

AISES A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship

Description:      AISES' own scholarship program was established in 1983 in memory of A.T. Anderson (Mohawk), a chemical engineer who founded AISES with six other American Indian scientists. The A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Program is funded through a variety of sources, including memorials, private donations, AISES fundraisers, corporations and government entities.  These scholarships are awarded to American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian AISES members pursuing degrees in the sciences, engineering, medicine, natural resources, math and technology.

California Mathematics Council Elementary/Secondary Education Scholarship

Description:       For over 35 years the California Mathematics Council-South has held an Annual Scholarship and Inservice Grant Program to promote interest in mathematics and excellence in the teaching of mathematics for students and teachers in the CMC-S region. We have four categories of scholarships and grants: 1) Scholarships for students enrolled in an elementary education credential program; 2) Scholarships for students enrolled in a secondary education credential program; 3) Professional inservice grants for credentialed members of CMC-S; 4) Professional scholarships for the retraining of current teachers who are members of CMC-S.
