The Department of Distance Learning runs occasional training seminars for instructors, usually in White 49. Here's a list of some upcoming training sessions. For sessions in White 49, it would be helpful if you brought your own laptop, however, we have a few desktop computers available.
Seminar for Distance Education Instructors - 10 Hours in 5 Weeks
This seminar meets for two hours once a week for five weeks. This training is required for instructors who want to teach a fully-online class, but others may find it useful, too. For Fall 2012, we will have training the weeks of February 20 to March 19, with three different time slots available:

For instructors: Need individual help with Blackboard? Make an appointment to come see us in Distance Learning. We can help you set up your Grade Center, assignments, discussion boards, etc.
Feel free to drop by our offices in White 49 during business hours, and someone might be available to assist you.
