Download Watercolor Brushes here
In Photoshop Click Window>Brushes
In Brush Window go up to the top right corner and click the tiny 4 lines. Click Import Brushes and choose the watercolor brushes from the download folder.
Open a portrait or landscape photograph in Photoshop
Click Control J to make a duplicate layer
Turn the eyeball off to HIDE that background layer
On the top portrait layer, HOLD DOWN THE ALT KEY and hit the ADD LAYER MASK button at the same time. (the rectangle with the circle in the middle)
You should have a BLACK mask and your screen should have gone checkerboard.
Click the black and white cookie (circle) at the bottom of the layers panel and choose
SOLID COLOR. Pick any color you'd like.
Click on the BLACK MASK ON YOUR TOP LAYER
Select your Brush tool and make sure your paint color is WHITE
Go to your Brushes Panel and open the tiny arrow to open the whole folder of brushes.Â
Start painting one brush at a time on the mask.
KEEP PAINTING until a until the person or landscape emerges but don't paint so much that it looks like the original photo.
