Pantyhose Sculpture

Directions

1. Start by bending and cutting the wire. For stability you may need 2 base points to insert into the wood depending on your design.

2. Using a drill, create a hole in your wood block. It should be fairly deep so that the sculpture doesn't fall over.

3. Place the wire end(s) into the hole(s). You should try for a tight fit. Add a drop of hot glue to help hold it in place.

4. TAKE A PHOTO SHOWING LINE AND SHAPE

5. Tightly stretch the pantyhose over both the wire and the base. 

6. Paint the hose with Modpodge. The pantyhose will soak up the plaster so it may take a little work to get the hose totally covered. 

7. TAKE A PHOTO SHOWING FORM AND VALUE

8. Edit your value photo in photoshop and make it black and white.

9. Go to the black and white circle icon at the bottom of the layer panel and choose gradient Fill. Change the Blending style to something that looks cool.

10. Paint your designs using acrylic paint.
