Multiplicity photography images are ‘clones’ of a person or object in one photo. You can create multiplicity images in Photoshop.
This photography technique requires a tripod and a camera. You’ll also need a timer or remote if you’re doing self-portraits.
What if you don’t have a tripod? Then use a sturdy flat surface such as a table or chair.
Step 1: THE PHOTOSHOOT
Set up the camera on the tripod if necessary. Make sure its sturdy.
DON'T MOVE FROM WHERE YOU'RE STANDING!
Ask your model or yourself to move around and pose in different parts of the frame.
Use a SMALL APERTURE (f11-22) so that there is decent depth of field.
The light and shadow should be consistent for each photo.
Step 2: Photoshop
Open your main photograph in Photograph as the First Layer
Add each photo and then click remove background to get rid of the everything except the person or animal.
Do this for each photo.
AGAIN, MAKE SURE THE LIGHTING AND SHADOWS MATCH!
