Hello Students, Parents and Guests!

I am looking forward to the 2018-19 school year.  My hope is this year will be as rewarding as my first 30 years!   Always let me know how I can help reach your goals!

Mr. Hutton's Background
After graduating up the road north of the Quad Cities from Maquoketa High School, I attended the University of Northern Iowa attaining my BA in the Mathematics Education.  After graduating in 1988, I worked at North Kossuth High School in Swea City, Ia for 6 years.   The last 24 years I have taught at Bettendorf.  In 2004, I completed my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership at Western Illinois University.  My last round of graduate classes took me back to University of Northern Iowa where I nearly completed a second masters, this time in Teaching of Secondary Mathematics: Community College Emphasis.

My Family

Pictured with me are my wife Shelly and our two "kids" Josh and Kelly.  Shelly is a math teacher (cute and smart!) at Orion High School; Josh is in the Air Force stationed on the East Coast; and Kelly is a nurse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  We also have two dogs, Lambo; a lab mix, and Tucker; a Boston Terrier.  They have replaced our kids well!
