Friends of Bristol Elementary School (BES) formerly known as the PTO
We believe...Parent Involvement = Student Success
The Friends of BES/PTO Mission is to improve the quality of our school through fundraisers and activities. Our main goals are to engage parents and support the teachers and staff of Bristol Elementary.
Our strategy is to be inclusive. We will try to offer variety of opportunities throughout the year, in order for parents to be able to choose how they’d like to be involved.
The Friends of BES/PTO coordinates fundraisers to pay for school programs such as the Four Winds Program and other Friends of BES/PTO events and classroom activities. To fund these programs, Friends of BES/PTO spearheads a major fundraiser in the fall as well as a few smaller fundraisers throughout the year such as the wreath sale in November and the Scholastic Book Fair fundraiser during I Love to Read and Write Week.
In addition, Friends of BES/PTO:
Friends of BES/PTO will meet throughout the year. These meetings will be agenda based. Meetings will be typically held in the library at Bristol Elementary, will notified if location changes.
If you want to be involved with the Friends of BES/PTO planning process, we welcome you to attend these meetings as well as joining the e-mail newsletter! Our members have sold wreaths, participated in walk-a-thons, written grants, pulled kids on sleds, baked cookies, designed flyers, made soup, made Valentines, and much, much more.
