Destination Imagination

In 3rd and 4th grade, we participate with the nationally recognized academic competition called Destination Imagination (DI).  This program is an educational program where student teams solve open-ended challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. In working to solve challenges, teams learn important life skills like time management, collaboration, conflict resolution, and creative and critical thinking. To participate, we ask teachers to present applications to students they recommend.   All received applications are then reviewed by an impartial team of educators who chose a seven person team from each school.  These three teams meet after school and at home to prepare their solutions and then compete at the regional level in March.  The top  teams move onto the state level competition in April.
Destination Imagination team consideration is open to any 3rd and 4th grade student recommended by their teacher as a class leaders, good team player and exceptional students. It is an honor to be considered a candidate by your school.
