We are going to see how many INGOT skills you have already mastered in your years at Bradford.  In order to do this I would like you to work on the following during today's class:

Computer Care
  • Open a word processing document (your choice of Open Office or Google Docs).
  • Put your name at the top of the page.
  • Title the page, "2. Computer Care."
  • Write a good paragraph (at least 6 sentences), explaining how we take good care of computers.  You may talk about things you do or don't do to a computer.
  • Bonus: create a graphic
  • When you are finished, print your paragraph and hand it in

Cut/Copy/Paste
  • Open a word processing document (your choice of Open Office or Google Docs)
  • Put your name at the top of the page.
  • Title the page, "5. Cut/Copy/Paste."
  • Write 1-2 sentences describing what each feature does (for a total of 3-6 sentences)
  • Bonus: list the keyboard shortcuts for each feature
  • When you are finished, print your paragraph and hand it in

Passwords
  • Open a word processing document (your choice of Open Office or Google Docs)
  • Put your name at the top of the page.
  • Title the page, "14. Passwords"
  • Write a paragraph explaining why we use passwords AND why it is important to make them secure
  • Bonus: include some "rules" for creating a secure password
  • When you are finished, print your paragraph and hand it in
