Welcome to the Berta A. Dreyfus library!

Welcome to the Dreyfus Library! We are open for students and staff all day, every day, including during our open access lunch periods.

Students may borrow three (3) books at a time for two (2) weeks. Please see Mrs. Szeluga to renew your books if you need more time or to place a book on hold. Please return your books on time! Students must pay the replacement cost of any lost or damaged book. Staff have unlimited checkouts and may borrow materials until the end of each marking period.

The Dreyfus Library Squad is a committed group of students who work in the library one day a week during their lunch period. See Mrs. Szeluga for an application.

NYC Reads 365

On 11/02/15, Chancellor Fariña announced the launch of NYC Reads 365, a new multi-year citywide literacy effort to promote a City that reads every day, in and outside of our schools. NYC Reads 365 challenges New Yorkers to read every single day. Read for pleasure, read to find out, read to argue, read to persuade, read to laugh, read to cry, read to understand, read to forget!
