We are an official chapter of SACNAS at the University of California, Berkeley. 

SACNAS fosters the success of Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists- from college students to professionals- to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in science. 

We share the goals and values of SACNAS, striving to meet them through our various outreach activities. 

Chapter Goals
  • To recruit underrepresented students to STEM graduate programs at UC Berkeley.
  • To retain underrepresented students in STEM graduate programs at UC Berkeley. 
Our Approach
  • Attract outstanding students by serving as ambassadors for UC Berkeley STEM graduate programs
  • Create an all-inclusive community and support network that students can use during their Ph.D. for professional development and social activities
