Media Tools

If you are interested in creating a multimedia project involving audio and video, here are a couple sites you may want to visit.

Alan Levine from the New Media Consortium (NMC) originally compiled a list of "50+ Ways to Tell a Story," comprised of web media tools. One of the cool things about the site is that he tells the same story using each of the different tools. This allows you to get a better idea of how a tool will work to tell your story. Some tools offer a download-able application, but most are hosted completely online. The list has been updated and has many more tools added. The new site also allows you to contribute to the list (you must register with the site). So if you find a new cool tool to tell a story you can add it! To visit the site you can click the image to the left. You can also visit the new 50+ Ways site by clicking here.
