If you are interested in applying for the Belleville Public School District #118 school board vacancy, please submit a letter of interest and resume by noon on October 26, 2020 to Belleville Public School District #118, c/o Board Secretary, 105 West “A” Street, Belleville, IL  62220 or via email to thilmes@belleville118.org.  The appointment will fill the unexpired term until April, 2023 at which time the seat will be filled by election.  The Board of Education will screen the applicants and decide which individuals will be interviewed.





Belleville School District #118 has been informed by the USDA that due to the pandemic, the waiver for all students to receive free meals has been extended.  We  are excited to announce meals are now FREE to all children 18 and under until June 30, 2021.   "Meal Packs" will include breakfast and lunch and are available for curbside pick-up at school or via school bus route delivery daily.  School pick up is available from 11:15-12:00 and buses leave the schools for their routes at 11:15.  Children or adults may pick up meal packs.  




Every Friday, the St. Louis Area Food Bank's Mobile Market will be at the Abe Lincoln/West Jr. High Parking Lot from 10:30-12:30.  





Our district proudly serves a majority of the residents residing in the City of Belleville and encompasses more than twenty seven square miles. Our enrollment is approximately 4,000 students in pre-school through eighth grade. Our students and staff come from a wide range of socio-economic, cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds, which enriches our community.

We are proud of the numerous national, state, and local achievements of our students and staff. Our students regularly represent the District at a very high level by their academic, athletic, and fine arts accomplishments. Our standardized test scores consistently exceed state averages. Both state and national organizations have recognized our staff and our educational programs as exceptional!
