Last week, representatives from the Toys for Tots Foundation came to Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps to pick up two full boxes of gifts for the children of the Hudson Valley. On behalf of Beacon Volunteer Ambulance and Toys for Tots, we would like to thank all our members and employees who donated, as well as members of our community and Beacon City Hall for helping us collect gifts by keeping a donation box in their building, as well.
Thank you,

Since 1959, Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps has been providing emergency medical services to our community. Over the years, we have continued to grow our service which now includes three modern, fully-equipped ambulances, two first response vehicles, and a well trained staff of paramedics, EMTs, and drivers dedicated to providing the quality of service we all expect and deserve. We recently celebrated our fifth year as a full advanced life support agency. This year, we received the honor of being named both the Dutchess County and Hudson Valley Regional EMS Agency of the Year and have been also been nominated for the NYS Agency of the Year.

In the past year, our crews have responded to greater than 2400 calls for assistance in our area. As we now move into our 56th year of service, as in the past, we still depend on people like you to assist us in providing the 24/7/365 service we all expect. All this was accomplished without the use of any city or town tax dollars.

Your donations have allowed us to make needed improvements such as new powered stretchers which greatly enhance patient safety and help us to reduce the possibility of crew injuries. This major expense was only possible due to the generosity of our friends and neighbors.

We thank you for supporting us, and kindly ask you to continue again this year. All donations received go directly to BVAC and are tax deductible, as we are a 501(c)3 organization. We still receive no tax dollars from any municipality.

Thank you,
The Officers, Members, and Staff of Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps

BVAC was recently awarded both the Dutchess County and Hudson Valley EMS Councils' EMS Agency of the Year awards. The award comes as BVAC celebrates its fifth anniversary of becoming an Advanced Life Support agency. An awards ceremony was held at the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response headquarters in Poughkeepsie. Receiving the Hudson Valley regional award makes BVAC eligible for the New York State award.
