Hey there! I’m Ms. Moore! ✨

I’m so excited to be teaching 4th grade here in Brunswick County! Teaching is so much more than a job to me—I love helping students learn, grow, build confidence, and discover just how much they are capable of.

A little about me: I’m 34 years old and a proud mom to two energetic boys, Logan and Lucas, who definitely keep life interesting! Family is incredibly important to me, and when I’m not at school, you can usually find me spending time with them and enjoying the little moments that make life special.

I was born in Virginia, grew up in Michigan, and moved to North Carolina during high school. I graduated from West Brunswick High School before earning my Associate in Arts from Brunswick Community College with high honors and my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from North Carolina Wesleyan College, also with high honors. I guess you could say I’ve always loved learning! 📚

As a teacher, I believe students learn best when they feel safe, supported, encouraged, and excited to come to school. I love making learning hands-on and memorable, especially in science and social studies. Whether we’re investigating fossils, learning about the Earth and Moon, conducting experiments, or exploring history and government, I want my students to be curious, ask questions, and have fun while learning.

I also believe that communication between home and school is incredibly important. I want families to feel comfortable reaching out to me with questions, concerns, or even just to share something great! We are a team, and I want every student to know that there are people both at home and at school cheering them on.

One thing you’ll quickly learn about me is that I care deeply about my students. I want my classroom to be a place where it’s okay to make mistakes, because mistakes are part of learning. I expect my students to work hard, be kind, take responsibility, and keep trying—even when something feels difficult.

Most of all, I want my students to look back on 4th grade and remember more than just the things they learned. I hope they remember laughing, experimenting, asking questions, celebrating their accomplishments, making memories, and knowing that their teacher believed in them.
