Algebra 1

Algebra I is a course for the student who is competent in the basic operations of arithmetic and is ready for a more advanced level of mathematics. The content of this class will include numbers & quantity, expressions, polynomials, statistics & probability, and modeling with mathematics. There will be an emphasis on solving equations, inequalities, & systems of equations as well as graphing linear, exponential, & quadratic functions. Graphical, verbal, numeric, and algebraic representations of concepts are presented. This course is required for entrance to most colleges. It is also fundamental for a career or future study in all fields.
