A Successful Year!

We had a successful year of 5th grade art and we are wrapping up our year. All students will be bringing their artwork home from school this week. They will also be bringing home their sketchbook. It is a good idea to keep the sketchbook over summer and bring it back for 6th grade art. We will continue to fill the books with our notes, drawings, and thoughts during 6th grade art. It will save you money if you decide to put it somewhere safe and bring it back in the fall.
Also, thank you for all of your support by bringing in your junk for the Junk Drawer Robot project. The kids really enjoyed being able to hammer, glue, and build their robots from the junk. It was exciting to see them turn the junk into art!
Finally, there are many summer opportunities to continue creating during the summer. If you are interested in camps please check out the following sites:
Kendall College of Art & Design Continuing Studies: http://www.kcad.edu/youth-and-adults/

Hope you enjoy your summer!
