  • Red Ribbon Week is October 23-27

    The last week of October is recognized across the nation as Red Ribbon Week. The red ribbon was designated as a symbol of intolerance of illegal drug use and a commitment to a drug-free life style.  Buchanan Elementary School will be recognizing Red Ribbon Week Oct. 23-27. We will be participating in the annual food drive during this week and continue through the first week of November.

     Below is the week’s schedule:

        MondayTie-Dye Day ‘Let Your True Colors Shine, Be Drug Free!’   + food drive

        Tuesday- Boot Day  ‘Give Drugs the Boot!’   + food drive        

        Wednesday- Crazy Sock Day  ‘Sock it to Drugs!’   + food drive

        Thursday- Backwards Day  ‘I Turn My Back on Drugs!’ + food drive                                                   

         Friday-  Slipper Day    ‘Give Drugs the Slip!’    +  food drive

  • Book Fair Coming Soon- Volunteers Needed!
    The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Buchanan Elementary School October 24th- November 3rd. We are still seeking volunteers to help the younger students in kindergarten through second grade make wishlists and purchases.

  • Bobcat Challenge is Tomorrow!
    All money and collection envelopes are due for this year's PTA fundraiser tomorrow, our Bobcat Challenge celebration day. Please send your children to school wearing tennis shoes and play clothes because... we INTEND TO PLAY! Thank you for your support and helping to raise money for our school playground!
