Hello Students and Families,

My name is Eve Van Kley and I will be your Civics teacher this year. I am very excited about our Civics curriculum and I am looking forward to getting to know you as well. I was born and raised a Hoosier, hailing from the northern Indiana farm fields. After graduating from Purdue University, I taught for a few years and then began my career in retail store ownership for 14 years. I have been a full time educator for the past 13 years and know that this was my blessed calling. I am married to Doug Hartog and between us we have the 'Brady Bunch'! My son, Austin, attends the University of West Florida majoring in Exercise Science and my darling daughter, Olivia, graduated from Full Sail University earning a technical arts bachelors degree in Game Art. Both attended Bay Haven and went on to graduate from North Bay Haven High School. My oldest daughter Morgann is a Florida State graduate and just purchased her first home outside of Nashville with my very fun grandson, William! I have three step children Brock who currently serves as a Sonar Technician with the United States Navy, Zak who works for Polaris in Minnesota and Klayre who is a recent high school graduate! ! My life is full, blessed and I am very happy to have you in my class this year. Let's have a great school year!
