Bay District Instructional Media Services facilitates the teaching -learning process by providing equitable access to resources and services which satisfy both in the individual and instructional needs of students and educators.

 The program establishes cooperative partnerships with teacher and other educators to enhance curriculum development and implementation by providing resources and technical support. The program encourages planning with the schools, the district and the community for the most effective use of current and emerging media and technology resources.

 
 
 

WELCOME to the Bay District Instructional Media Services. Please take time to examine the large variety of services offered to our students, teachers, educators and community. You will find information about the many departments operating under the umbrella of Instructional Technology and Media Services. Our department provides resources and services to promote teaching and learning.

Bay District Instructional Technology and Media Services provides:

• Provide service and support to all school media centers, and ITV studios.
•  Instructional material adoptions are ordered from this department and shipped to the schools.
• Instructional materials budget and inventory are managed from this department.
• The currently adopted instructional materials are available for review by the general public.
• ITV broadcasts of educational programs provided through DOE and satellite programming help to support the  
   curriculum in the  schools.
• Check-out A/V equipment for use in the schools and meetings.
• Maintenance of the schools' closed circuit cable systems and TekNet Systems.
• Computer labs with network technical support and service.
• Large Conference Rooms for Meetings.
• Production area provides Ellison and Accu-cut machines, color copier, computers, 2 laminating machines, binding 
   machines.
• District wide online databases.

Our computer lab is available for all types of workshops, professional development, student and school activities and for individual use.
