Pam Ashford, M.S. CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist at Daybreak Primary and Middle Schools serving K-8

Background

I discovered the Pacific Northwest in 1990 and immediately fell in love with the area.  I have been working in the Battle Ground Schools since then.  As an itinerant Speech Pathologist, I worked in Central preschool, Yacolt, Amboy, Pleasant Valley Primary and Middle, Chief Umtuch, Maple Grove Middle, and Lewisville before settling at Daybreak.

Prior to my employment in public education, I worked in the private sector. I had my own private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area  for 10 years, where I worked with people of all ages.  Throughout my career I have worked in a variety of private and public schools,  pediatric clinics, hospitals, rehab centers and home health. Having my own business was a wonderful adventure, however I was beginning an even grander adventure with the birth of my children. My husband and I decided this was the best place for our children to blossom.

My education includes a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from San Francisco State University and  a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders.  I have national certification from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.  I'm medically licensed by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance in California and the Washington State Department of Health as a Speech-Language Pathologist.  In order to maintain these various licenses and certifications, I take many courses annually.
