QR Codes for Open House

So what is this funny looking image?  It's a QR Code, an image that once scanned by a QR Reader smart phone app, will take you to my 21st Century TIPs website.

Do you have a classroom website?  If so, make it easily accessible to both students and parents at Open House by turning the link to your site into a QR code!

Forget having to list your website on a handout or in your syllabus.  Bring it into the 21st Century and make it EASIER for your stakeholders to get there.  Typing in a web address is SO...well, it's "old school.  QR Codes are everywhere you go these days, so why not represent YOUR website with one?

How do you make one?
There are FREE QR code generators out there that you can use.  A code can be created and downloaded as an image in less than 5 minutes.  Then, add the image into your syllabus, Open House handout or better yet, post it in your classroom and outside your classroom door.  Parents and students can scan it and learn about you and what's in store for 2012 - 2013 in an instant!
