The Minority Conflict & Mediation Lab aims to understand how institutionalized prejudice is co-created and mediated by the interactions between individuals, family structures, and their communities. How do cultural, sexual and gender minority groups navigate sociorelational prejudice and discrimination? How can these dynamics be altered? What motivates individuals and systems to change these dynamics? What cultural tools are used in the process? Dr. Chana Etengoff and her team approach these questions through the lens that human development is a constructive process embedded in relational, sociopolitical and historical contexts.
