Athletes will need a good pair of running shoes. Spikes are not needed nor recommended.
Athletes should bring a water bottle to practice and meets for hydration as we are not always by the school or other water sources.
Our practice each day will include a warm up, which consists of jogging, running form drills, stretching and strength work. Workouts will be followed by a cool down. Students may be asked to complete the workout that they missed prior to field events if they are late to practice.
For your own safety we will assume that if you are too injured to practice you are also too injured to compete in meets.
Please dress for the weather. We practice outside even when it’s cold! Always have clothing for any situation.
By joining track you have committed to the team. (Some school/family related events are permitted on a limited basis). Each athlete is expected to attend every practice. An absence from practice may result in not being able to (fully) participate/attend the next meet. If a scheduling conflict should arise please let the coaches know in advance. If an athlete has any questions/concerns they should contact the coach to discuss the matter. Parents, please don't go to the coaches unless your athlete has talked to the coach first.
Student Athletes should be picked-up from practice by 5:15.
